Technology
The intelligence layer between the pharmacy system and the shelf.

Technology
One device, bridging both systems.
Edge computing
Cloud, edge and shelf controllers.
Edge architecture
RowBotic Cloud
- Fleet management
- Analytics
- Integrations
RowBotic Edge
- Device registry
- Local task cache
- Command queue
- Heartbeats
- Offline fallback
Shelf controllers
- Grid Light
- Smart tags
- Industrial PTL
The edge gateway keeps shelf response fast and lets the pharmacy keep operating through a WAN outage; cloud secrets never live in shelf controllers.
GS1-aware identity
One scanner, four kinds of code.
- Product identity
- EAN / GTIN
- Traceability
- GS1 AIs: (01) GTIN, (21) serial, (10) lot, (17) expiration
- Digital prospect
- 2D code linking to patient information (ANMAT Disp. 2891/2026)
- RowBotic location
- LOC:AR-FARM01-G03-M02-R04-C07
Reading a GS1 code is not the same as regulatory compliance — traceability/reporting is handled as a dedicated compliance integration (SNT/ANMAT where applicable).
Physical-location graph
The core long-term asset.

WMS core
Enterprise WMS primitives, pharmacy scale.

WMS core
The same primitives, at the scale of one storefront.
Enterprise WMS
Manhattan, SAP EWM, Blue Yonder, Infor, Körber
- — Built for distribution centers and 3PLs
- — Multi-year implementations
- — Dedicated integration teams
- — Six/seven-figure budgets
RowBotic
Pharmacy-scale WMS core
- — Built for a single store or small chain
- — Deployed on existing shelving in days
- — Layered on your current POS/ERP
- — Priced per store, not per distribution network

FAQ
Common questions
- What barcode types are supported?
- 2D scanners read product identity (EAN/GTIN), GS1 traceability codes (GTIN, serial, lot, expiration), digital-prospect codes, and RowBotic's own location codes — the scan-classification layer tells them apart.
- What happens if the internet connection fails?
- The RowBotic Edge gateway caches tasks locally and queues commands, so shelf response stays fast and the pharmacy keeps operating through a WAN outage.
- What hardware is required?
- The MVP tier (Grid Light) uses an ESP32-class controller, addressable LED strip, and QR/DataMatrix location labels retrofitted onto existing shelving. Industrial Pick-to-Light hardware is supported through the same device abstraction for larger customers.
- Is RowBotic a WMS?
- It's the same core primitives as an enterprise warehouse management system — locations and bins, put-away, directed picking, cycle counting, replenishment triggers — scoped and priced for a single store or small chain instead of a distribution center.
Pilot program
Run a measured pilot in your pharmacy.
We instrument the pilot from day one — baseline search times, pick times and location accuracy — so results are measured, not assumed. No ERP replacement, no structural installation required.
